BETWEEN TWO RIVERS (1960)
Dennis Potter is the son of a coal miner and grew up in a village between the Severn and the Wye. After three years as a student at Oxford he returns home, and describes the changes he sees both in the life of the village and in his relations with his family and friends.
After university, Potter joined the BBC as a graduate trainee and mentored by producer Denis Mitchell, made this film. He later became a renowned playwright and TV dramatist.
