MULTI-RACIAL BRITAIN: GREAT EXPECTATIONS (1979)

Black parents have high expectations of their children - expectations which aren't always met when the children go to school. What can be done by the schools to help black teenagers reach high levels of achievement? And how far does this demand changes in the curriculum or in the relationships between teachers and students, and schools and parents? This programme looks at two London schools which are coming up with effective answers to these questions.
